I lived in India and Belgium as a kid. I'm waiting for someone to respond to this fact with 'You lived in Belgium - that must have been exciting!' My folks live abroad (both relative to me in Scotland and the family house in Dublin) which is one push for me actually traveling a fair amount.
I read too much and geek about movies.
I once spent a great summer in NYC and while there's no sign of me getting back there any time soon, I still dream of living there.
I get obsessions - the most recent ones being cycling, yoga and knitting. Knitting is a gateway drug to bad telly, much to my SO's disgust.
I don't have much time to knit at the moment - I recently had a baby girl. I hope to eventually be able to think about other things again, but I'm giving myself a few months.
I helped setup Edinburgh's Stitch'n'Bitch - City Knitty. We have a mailing list and meet every Wednesday at Chai.

I'm also interested in appropriate technology use and green issues. I don't drive and I'm willing to explain why in great detail. I do fly but I feel guilty about it and usually take at least one holiday a year in Scotland using the train.
